Family Time in Michigan

I had the opportunity to visit one of my clients in Southfield, Michigan so I was excited to visit my client and then spend the weekend in Michigan visiting family. The weather was fantastic and my sister and I were happy to not be bundled up all weekend.

Thursday: I finished up with work and my sister and I headed to eat dinner in Royal Oak at Jim Brady's Restaurant.  We then visited Aunt Peggy & Uncle Bob at their house in Ferndale.  This was our first time meeting our baby cousin, Paige who is now 9 months.  It was so nice to have family time and catch up.

Friday: We drove around Royal Oak looking at the house dad grew up in on maplegrove which was so fun as we have heard alot of stories that took place in that house.  Then we spent the whole afternoon with grandma at her place.  Later we took a nice walk around a near by neighborhood and treated grandma to ice cream.

Saturday: All of the family came into town to Aunt Bev house in Lansing and we had a blast.  It was so great t…

Weekend in Raleigh

Keith & I have been traveling alot on the weekends to go see his parents.  Last weekend, we went down to SC and were able to visit with both his aunts and uncles from Ohio.  We had a mini reunion and it was great to see everyone.

We were looking forward to a weekend of not driving and making the most of our time in our new home. The weather was unusual for February even for Raleigh so we took full advantage.

Friday: We headed to dinner and drinks to celebrate Julie's Birthday.  We had dinner at Bare Bones and drinks at Haymaker.  Dinner was good but Haymaker's was even better.  I have never been to a bar that had champagne on tap - HEAVEN.  The atmosphere was really cool and I will be going back.

Saturday: My sister and I headed to a spin class and breakfast.  Jamie has never been super active so when she said she wanted to do a free spin class, I was all in.  She did good for her first time.  I worked with Keith on the house and we were able to cross off alot of our to-do i…

HAT TRICK - Carolina Hurricanes

My gentleman and I headed out to watch the Carolina Hurricanes face off the Philadelphia Flyers.  Going into the game, I didn't have much confidence the Hurricanes would win because we lost the last 5 games. Luckily, we won and also S. Aho scored three goals so I witnessed a hat trick.  It was so cool to see everyone throwing their hats on the ice.
We had awesome seats, right behind one of the goals and nine rows from the ice.  We had a great date night!
